Any and all! Unstump is geared more towards questions that start with ‘How’ and the need for step-by-step answers. However, if you have burning desire to learn something new, ask away!
HOW MANY STEPS SHOULD I ASK FOR?
As many or as few as you need. For example, building an entire house from scratch requires a lot of detailed information. In that situation it’s best to establish more steps, as opposed to the amount of steps needed to tie shoelaces.
It’s up to you how much time and interest you want to commit to your curiosity.
I ANSWERED ANOTHER USER’S QUESTIONS- WHERE DID THEY GO?
All Step Suggestions are sent to the question-asking user. It’s up to this ‘Asking User’ to determine what Steps are relevant. Users asking questions maintain administrative ability over their Posts, and can accept or deny any suggested steps from other users.
DO I HAVE TO SUBMIT 3 SUGGESTIONS FOR EACH STEP?
Not at all. The option to have 3 suggestions is there to assist the thinking process around the topic in conversation. If you can come up with the single most effective answer for each step, by all means suggest it!
CAN I POST A COMPLETED GUIDE?
No. The primary function of Unstump is to have multiple people come together to form a solution. If you are focused on presenting solutions and sharing knowledge, it’s best to contribute any suggestions to open (stumped) posts.
CAN I HAVE A POST REMOVED?
Any posts that potentially violate the rights of others can be flagged for removal. A site administrator can be notified of any questionable activity.
WHAT TYPES OF POSTS ARE INAPPROPRIATE?
Posts that include, but not limited to:
- Revealing the personal information of individuals (Full names, addresses, social security numbers, credit card info, etc.),
- Information that perpetuates illegal activity.
- Information that causes direct bodily harm to individuals.
- Using protected materials without the legal owner’s consent.
- The type of stuff done out of pure malice and spite. Don’t be an asshole!
NO ONE IS ANSWERING MY QUESTION. WHAT CAN I DO?
Because Unstump relies on a community to create solutions, popular posts will get more attention. If your question is important enough to you, feel free to message other users and politely ask them to contribute. Also make sure to word your question as clear and concise as possible, in order to avoid confusing your audience.
